Description

This certificate is part of the AAS in Arts Entrepreneurship and Management. This certificate will cover public relations, media writing, digital media fundamentals, interpersonal communication, audio production, and a capstone. It is designed to prepare students with contemporary skills at multimedia and in-person communication.

Preparation

Students should have an interest in developing their spoken and written communication skills, using digital and audio tools in multimedia and interpersonal settings.Ìý

Requirements

Students will study different aspects of communication and their application in careers related to arts management. Students also will complete a capstone course. Students who complete the curriculum requirements receive a Program Certificate in Applied Communication, which can be stacked toward an associate's degree

Career Opportunities

The applied communication skills in this certificate are key to a wide array of contemporary careers, including entrepreneurship and management in the fine and performing arts but also in business and industry careers requiring in-person interaction and multimedia communication.

Additional Information

BSC has partnerships with community arts organizations, including ºÚÁÏÍø-Mandan Symphony Orchestra, ºÚÁÏÍø-Mandan Civic Chorus, and Capital Shakespeare. Through these partnerships, BSC students begin making connections with the community and establishing outside relationships well before they finish their program of study.
